YOUTH PARTICIPATION & AGE POLICY
YOUTH PARTICIPATION & AGE POLICY
The LAB Performance Centre ("The LAB") provides structured coaching and athletic development programs for children and young people from 5 years of age.
This policy outlines the supervision requirements, access conditions, and parental responsibilities for all participants under 18 years of age.
1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES
• All youth participants must have a completed Parent/Guardian Consent & Waiver Form prior to participation.
• A parent or legal guardian must sign all membership or program agreements for participants under 18 years of age.
• The parent or guardian is financially and legally responsible for the underage participant’s membership and conduct.
• All youth participants must comply with safety instructions provided by coaches at all times.
• The LAB reserves the right to suspend or cancel participation for unsafe behaviour, misuse of equipment, or failure to follow instructions.
The LAB provides strength & conditioning and athletic development coaching. We do not provide on-site physiotherapy or medical rehabilitation services. Any return-to-play programming is performance-based and not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.

• Unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the session.
The LAB prioritises safe strength and movement development. However, participation in sport and training carries inherent risks. Parents/guardians acknowledge these risks when enrolling their child.
4. PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
By enrolling a child in a LAB program, the parent or guardian:
• Confirms the child is medically fit to participate (or has medical clearance where required);
• Agrees to inform The LAB of any injuries, medical conditions, or changes in health status;
• Accepts responsibility for transportation to and from sessions;
• Agrees to comply with all policies and safety requirements;
• Understands The LAB does not provide medical, physiotherapy, or rehabilitation services.
5. FACILITY ACCESS
Youth participants may only access the facility:
• During scheduled session times; or
• During approved access periods consistent with their age category and membership.
Access outside of approved times is strictly prohibited.
6. BEHAVIOURAL EXPECTATIONS
The LAB is committed to maintaining a positive, respectful training environment.
Bullying, harassment, unsafe conduct, or misuse of equipment will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of participation.
